I had a bit of a surprise while compiling this list of the most popular recipes from 2015 on AprilJHarris.com. Many of the most popular recipes had in fact been published in years gone by. At first I was taken aback, but then I was pleased. If recipes from previous years were still so popular as to be featuring in the top 10 then you must definitely be enjoying them as much as my family and I do!
So I resisted the temptation to featurejust the most popular recipes actually published in 2015. Instead, I have chosen to feature the actual top 10 as chosen by you, my readers. The top 10 posts on the blog did include a couple of non-food posts but this compilation is just the most popular recipes.
The biggest surprise for me is that desserts are not the most popular recipes on the blog.It seems that vegetarian and fish recipes are among my readers’chief favourites but you also like a sweet treat now and again. You are fans of healthier muffins too. Funnily enough, some of the most popular recipes from 2015 are the ones I make most frequently for my family. It looks like we are definitely on the same wavelength and that makes me very happy indeed.
So without further ado, here are the top 10 most popular recipes on AprilJHarris.com as visited by you in 2015.
In first place, it’s myCod with Mushroom and Spinach Sauce. An easy to make family dinner, this dish is good for you too.
In second place,How to Poach Chicken Breasts.
A sweet treat at number 3,Lemon Crinkle Cookies.
A recipe forRatatouilleand a review of Nigella Lawson’s ‘How to Eat’ areat number 4.
A deliciously healthy way to start the day comes in at number 5,Banana and Chia Seed Muffins.
One of my favourite Meatless Monday meals, quick and easy to makeMediterranean Vegetable Tartis in sixth place.
Another ‘how to’ post with recipes comes in at number 7 –10Ways to UseRoasted Vegetables.
I love it when delicious is quick and healthy too and myEasy Salmon and Broccoli Stir Fry at number 8 ticks all the boxes.
There’sanother meat freefavourite in ninthplace,Easy Vegetarian Quiche.
And finally, at number 10, a showstopper recipe with step by step instructions that is much easier to make than it looks – Chocolate Orange Marble Cake.

What a fantastic list! I can see why these are popular. It doesn’t surprise me that the veggie and fish dishes are your most popular, they all look so yummy. I need to try your Cod with Mushroom and Spinach Sauce and that veggie tart looks fabulous! I love me some veggies! Thanks for the collection!

It is, I was really surprised which posts were most popular, Pauline. And they just might, although I’m mainly concentrating on old family recipes that I still make today 🙂

What an incredible collection. As I went through each one, I said to myself, ‘This is my favorite.’ Then, I came to another and said, ‘No, it’s this one.’ I found myself repeating the process over and over making it almost impossible for me to choose which one of these creations I like the best; fantastic job here my friend! I can’t wait to see what 2016 hold for you and your lovely and delicious site!
