About Outwell Knoxville 7SA Tent

The new Knoxville 7SA is a developed variant of the popular and award-winning camping tents Lakeville 7SA and Belleville 7SA. The family tent is a seven-person tent with three spacious dark-laden bedrooms and two spacious living area. The tent uses Outwell's Power Air System Frame technology where the poles have been replaced with air ducts for extremely easy installation. Pump each pole and, if necessary, there are also loose longitudinal air ducts that provide extra stability. This provides a tent that can be pitched quickly and is extremely stable. Combined with the strong rip-stop fabric with reinforcements at exposed points, you get a tent that can withstand winds of hurricane strength.

The tent is based on three zones. A principle that is common in England and is usually called the outer room, inner room and bedroom. The outer room with removable floor that can either be used as a dining area or to hang wet clothes and store equipment. The next zone is the standard living area with a completely sealed floor where you can advantageously put in a rug and furnish for socialising in the evenings or rainy days when you should not go in and out of the tent too much. The last zone is then the bedrooms which consist of three bedrooms.

Knoxville 7SA has three openings, two from the sides and one from the front. The two side openings on the tent make both the sleeping area and the inner room easily accessible, while the large opening at the front provides direct access to the outer room and opens up the tent on hot days. The large door in the front can be opened in a number of different ways where you can adapt the opening to everything from the entire width of the tent, one side or just the top. One side door also has a rain cover.

Outwell Quick & Quiet
The door between the living area and the outer room and the door to one of the bedrooms has a magnetic strip in addition to the zip so it can be opened and closed without a zip. A solution that makes it easy to get between the tent's rooms, get in and out of the inner tent without waking the rest of the family and to get in and out of the tent without having to use the zip (if the outer door is open).

Outwell Crossflow Ventilation
The ventilation at the back can be opened up completely to create extra air flow in the tent during hot days or in the morning. even the ventilation at the front is properly increased to get a better continuous flow. Since the tent's side entrances also have a mesh door, you can open up the tent to keep the temperature in the tent down even if there are a lot of small insects on the move.

The living area

The tent has two larger rooms for socialising. It is also possible to open the door between the two rooms to get a large room. Large tinted windows along the sides and the panoramic windows at the front provide a very pleasant light while shielding from view. The tent windows are also equipped with curling curtains that are adjusted with zips, which makes it easy to choose how much light or transparency you want.

Thanks to the large windows, the outer room has a fantastic view and can be used to eat or socialise. The removable floor makes it easy to clean so it does not matter as much if you have a lot of traffic in and out of the tent in all weathers. The outer tent has a protection on the outside at the bottom around the outer room to keep moisture away and reduce the risk of cold drafts. The large front door can be opened in a number of different ways where you can adapt the opening to everything from the entire width of the tent to just a single panel. if you open the tent completely, the room works more like a sunscreen and gives the feeling of sitting outside under a roof.

The inner room has a completely sealed floor. By closing the door to the outer room, you can then ensure that no cold drafts occur or any small insects enter. A much appreciated property in the evening. The sewn floor also provides a better climate in the tent with less condensation and better heat in colder weather.

Outwell HookTrack System
The Outwell HookTrack System makes it easy to attach lamps or other accessories to the tent. The included hooks also make it possible to hang equipment or clothes in the tent.

The inner tent

The inner tent is divided into three bedrooms (2 + 3 + 2). The walls between the bedrooms can be removed if you want two bedrooms or gather the whole family in one large bedroom. A unique detail is the extra spacious inner tent (Outwell Ambassador Master Bedroom) which gives you extra space both in length and height compared to normal tent cabins where the beds take up the entire length and the back wall often provides low height in large parts of the room. Perfect for moving packing into the inner tent or just having a little extra space to move around.

Outwell Dark Inners
A thicker dark fabric throughout the inner tent minimises the effect of many tent campers' worst enemy, the morning sun. Even the fabric above the inner tent has less light transmission. The inner tent also has a curtain that can be lowered over the valve to reduce the light transmission from the valve.

Other

The tent fabric is completely waterproof with taped seams and is flame retardant treated. The main part of the tent also has a sealed floor sewn to the outer tent, which protects the tent from wind, insects and dirt. The front section (outer room) has a loose floor with folded edges and the outer fabric has a folded edge. The pegs are colour-coded for easier installation.

Questions and Answers Outwell Air
1. How durable are the air ducts?
The channels consist of three layers. Finally, a layer of strong polyester, then a protective layer of PVC and then comes the channel itself in TPU. The construction makes the ducts more resistant to wind than steel and fiberglass poles. It is important, however, that you only use the supplied pump and do not pump up a pressure higher than 0.6 bar as too high a pressure risks damaging the ducts.

2. What happens if there is a hole in the duct or a valve breaks? Is the tent collapsing?
The channels are separate so the tent does not collapse if there are holes. All channels can be easily replaced and if it is a small hole, you can also fix it with Outwell's repair kits or with duct tape or a silicone-based tape (which can withstand pressures above 1 bar). Should a valve in the tents stop working, they are also easy to replace.
