San Francisco Union Square Alliance _In Bloom Event BrandingThe SF Union Square District has a long and storied tradition of being adorned with flowers. For many years, the presence of flowers, particularly daffodils, was abundant throughout the community. From handing out flowers to visitors walking through Maiden Lane to Macy’s Flower Show dating back to 1964, flowers have traditionally been a major draw for visitors to our district. Most recently, Flower Bulb Day, draws tens of thousands of visitors to gather tulips that decoratively blanket Union Square Park. Union Square Alliance (Business Improvement District) continues this tradition by attracting visitors through “Union Square In Bloom”, an annual, Spring season initiative to bring beauty and a sense of place to the district through vibrant floral displays and interactive programming. By working as a community, the Alliance aims to create a cohesive theme throughout the district and welcome visitors, workers, and residents to the heart of San Francisco. All These Wonders were tapped to bring the event identity to life through creative means; indeed, we are leaning into recent advancements in Artificial Intelligence to craft impossibly beautiful floral imagery. We utilized Midjourney to visualize a combination of never-before-seen florals and SF-specific iconography. A visual identity that embraces the urban culture. Created by Studio Cama for Studio SP, one of São Paulo's most iconic stages, the black and white visual identity system is not only a celebration of street art but also pays homage to the venue's past history. Studio Cama commissioned street artist GG (Susto’s) to paint the logotype and venue facade, infusing the project with authenticity. Every deployment of the visual identity system was derived from the pixos.
