One of my new favorite recipes. I make it with heirloom tomatoes and it looks beautiful. I have shared this recipe so many times. Better than similar recipes at nice restaurants.

Delicious, but didn't come out as pretty as the picture, I just used Jersey Beefsteak tomatoes as I couldn't find globe tomatoes and then I halved some red and yellow cherry tomatoes and placed around it. Yummy dressing! This is very similar to the tomato, grilled chicken and avocado recipe they have on CL, as well, with same buttermilk dressing.

When I first made this salad my family would not allow anyone at the table to begin eating until they took pictures and texted to friends and other family members. It has become my signature dish. We all love it and it is easy to prepare, delicious and very impressive.

Excellent summer (or even fall!) dish. This was a great light dinner. Every bite was delish! I microwaved the bacon and corn kernels to make it a bit easier for a quick dinner.

Fabulous on summer tomatoes. The bacon and the avocado are just extras-entirely unnecessary. Have been making this for a couple of years - we can't seem to get enough of it!

Very good. Followed the review exactly and it is delicious. If you wanted to add a little blue cheese to the dressing it would just another element to an excellent salad.

This was very good. I used fresh cherry tomatoes from my garden instead of slices and mixed it all in a bowl like a salad. Delicious!

This recipe was amazing! Bought fresh beefsteak tomatoes from local farmer's market and was looking for a good recipe that would showcase the tomatoes and not overpower. Prepared with Turkey bacon and subbed 2% milk for buttermilk , as I didn't have buttermilk. Left out cider vinegar (also didn't have it) and added some seasoning from a Ranch packet. Used grill pan for the corn and it took almost 20 mins to fully cook. Served to the guys watching football and they kept coming back for more! I can only imagine how much better it would be if I had all of the ingredients. Summer bliss!

This is our new favorite summer salad! So simple and delicious! We are having it at least twice a week until the corn and tomatoes are over for the season. I make it just like the recipe except to crumble the bacon. Have also sprinkled on a little feta cheese, yum!!!

Yum, this is my new favorite salad! Easy to put together. The only issue is why don't grocery store carry smaller sized, like pints, of buttermilk! I am always throwing away leftovers.

My tomato stack was tomato rubble, but otherwise this recipe was great. The farmer at the market had never heard of globe tomatoes, so I made it with all beefsteak, although I'm sure I could have substituted yellow, pink or heirloom tomatoes. I also substituted green onion tops for the chives. My husband and I agree it could be a meal all in itself. Also, I "grilled" the corn in a grill pan on my stovetop, which worked just fine.

Super delicious. Used three different heirloom tomatoes of differing colors. Loved the blend with the dressing, chives and avocado. I would also crumble the bacon next time. Neither my husband nor my daughter liked this side dish, but I thought it was great. Had toasted baguette slices with a smear of avocado on the side, topped with a sprinkle of salt.

Fresh and fantastic ingredients are key here - don't cheat on the ingredients, and this super simple salad will be your new favorite summery side dish! While we found it a bit hard to keep the stack together on our plates, after the first bite, my husband and I were sold on this as a keeper! All the ingredients together are so simple, but that's what makes it extraordinary when you use fresh produce. Don't make any substitutions or take any short cuts with this one and you will not be dissapointed. Enjoy when you can grab beautiful heirloom tomatoes at your local farmer's market!!!! We enjoyed down to the very last bite; refreshing, light, and really the star of any meal. Serve with a simple grilled meat and toasty garlic bread - I can't wait to make again and again!

This is one of the best uses of garden fresh tomatoes and fresh herbs. I felt like there were several steps to make this, but don't skip anything. The result is well worth it. I used a purple cherokee tomato, a yellow jubilee and a celebrity tomato. Otherwise, I followed the recipe as written.
