DIY Valentine’s Day Box Ideas

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner so that can only mean one thing…it’s time for to come up with some fun ideas for Valentine boxes. I mean, we love all the decadent Valentine desserts, but making the card box is really the best part of the holiday!

You’re never too old to get creative and and I have just as much fun making these crafts as the kids do. I do have good reason to get carried away because my homemade Valentine Boxes have been featured on Sarasota’s Suncoast View for the last five years (SO much fun…you can see one of the earlier segments below).

That means the pressure is on to come up with creative valentine box ideas every year…but that’s half the fun anyway!

To start with, you’ll need supplies. You’ll start with a box…any shoebox, tissue box or cereal box will do. We’ve even used old Amazon boxes. Depending on what you’re making, you may already have the rest of the supplies you’ll need. If not, they can be easily found at any craft store.

Most of these valentine boxes were really easy and many have printable templates for tracing or coloring. Some even have matching cards too. Whichever one your choose, your kids are going to have a blast. So grab those cardboard boxes and let’s get crafty!
